CFSID has a strong 34-year history and has achieved many accomplishments, including successful delivery of the STEPS Program, a positive growth in membership, a high volume website, and delivery of expertise in key areas such as creating a safe sleep, product safety in regards to SIDS and Other Infant Deaths, Blowing Kisses SUDC Program and more.
To deliver our programs, we must fundraise. Canada has over 160,000 registered charities and our piece of the charitable pie is dwindling. CFSID Councils and parents across the country, raise funds through various activities, from auctions to bingos, to casinos to dogsled races, baseball and golf tournaments, walks and relay races. These dollars help CFSID meet its mission and mandate.
With a healthy reserve fund and a reorganization process underway, we are confident in our readiness to move forward and embrace the future.
Thank you to our wonderful, committed volunteers for helping CFSID bring hope and life to Canadian Families.
What would you do to save a baby's life?
About the Breath of Hope Campaign
CFSID's announces a great, innovative awareness and fundraising drive. CFSID is committed to providing information on SIDS, raising awareness on risk reduction methods, providing educational materials across Canada, and creating one consistent message for all of Canada. 43 Councils represent CFSID and together we want to educate everyone who has ever loved a child!
These ongoing efforts are critical to ensure that parents, caregivers, childcare providers and healthcare professionals know about SIDS Risk Reduction recommendations and the ABC's of Safe Sleep.
Each year Canadian babies die in unsafe sleep environments. Many believe this is because of lack of education. Researchers suggest 8 out of 10 babies who die could be saved by creating a safe sleep environment. For as little as $50.00, we can educate a family in the ABC's of safe sleep. That's why we are asking you to take part in one of our Breath of Hope campaign activities. So read on to find out how you can take part in the Breath of Hope Campaign and help give a baby the chance of a lifetime.
