Other Special Giving Opportunities:
The Canadian Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths is pleased to offer several special options for those who are interested in providing significant financial support to our organization.
We are pleased to accept:
Major Gifts
These are significant contributions to support priorities identified jointly with a supporter. Such gifts could result in the creation of named funds, equipment purchases, named research initiatives and other special priorities.
Endowed Gifts
Similar to major gifts, these significant contributions can support a variety of initiatives. Such gifts are invested in perpetuity, and can be named as a lasting tribute to a friend or loved one.
Planned Gifts
Planned gifts generally refer to intended contributions made within a donor's will. There are a variety of ways to make a planned gift to CFSID, and we are pleased to provide guidance upon request.
Gifts of Securities
Gifts of securities (stock / bonds) may be made in any amount, and in support of any of the activities of our Foundation. Donating publicly traded securities is a tax-smart way to support the Canadian Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths. Not only will you receive a tax receipt for the full fair market value of the donated securities, but you will also be exempt from any tax on the shares' capital gains. There are tax advantages to donating securities regardless of the current market conditions.
Sponsorships
We undertake a variety of activities across Canada, and have a need to coordinate many more. We are often in need of corporate sponsors to enable special events to happen, and welcome any such offers of support. We also require sponsorships to enable our Foundation and medical professionals to participate in conferences and workshops they would otherwise not have the resources to participate in.
Special Event Proceeds
Whether through special event fundraisers at schools, runs, walks or rides, we are pleased to provide support to efforts that aim to raise funds and build awareness through community and family activities. Simply contact our office to discuss your event idea (or to consider some ideas with us), and we will provide you with support to help make your efforts successful.
