CFSID Membership

Membership gives you a voice within the CFSID.  Benefits include:

• Elect board members at the Annual General Meeting
• Receive our Baby's Breath quarterly newsletter which will kee you abreast of research and events in Canada and around the world
• Receive email notices of website and research updates
• Opportunity to receive training in fundraising and/or peer support
• Opportunity to fundraise with CFSID

Memberships are up for renewal on the same date each year - December 31.  Annual memberships are $25.00 for the year.  Please note htis fee is or individual membership only.  For example, membership for a couple is $50.00 ($25.00 per individual).

Monthly Giving

Planned Giving

Planning the future and an end to SIDS?  Consider a gift of Life Insurance

You may have considered providing The Canadian Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths with a significant gift. You may also have a desire to find some tax relief as well.

A gift of Life Insurance may be the answer. One way to provide CFSID with a gift of life insurance is to name us as the owner and beneficiary of a life insurance policy.  This may apply to a new policy or existing policy. This gift will help you give a substantial gift to CFSID and will provide you with immediate tax relief. All you need to do is pay your premium on an on-going basis for which you would receive a charitable tax receipt (for the premium payments and the cash value of the policy if one exists).

CFSID would receive the proceeds of the policy upon your passing.  You may also choose to name CFSID as the beneficiary (only, not as owner) of your new or existing insurance policy. In this case, you may name us as a primary beneficiary of all or a fraction of the proceeds of the policy or a contingent beneficiary if your primary beneficiaries predecease you. In this case, there will not be immediate tax relief but there will be a tax benefit to your estate for the portion of proceeds going to the Foundation.
