Corporate Donations

Each year, CFSID depends upon the generosity of Foundations and Corporations to offer programs across Canada.   A special thank you to our many donors, without you and your support, CFSID could not exist.  

Here are a few options your organization may consider:

· Launching a matching gift program and maximize your employees’ personal contributions to CFSID with a match from your corporation

· Lending staff and financial resources for an employee to volunteer as a member of our Board of Directors or Board Committee.

· Creation of your own special event (ie: golf outing, dress down day, employee participation).  Each year, corporations, associations and other organizations host such events across Canada – accounting for nearly 10% of our annual budget.

· Underwriting of specific research project or program

· Newsletter sponsorship

· Suggest CFSID as the recipient charity of United Way donations

· Sponsor our 24 Hour 800 number- CFSID offers telephone support to those who has either experienced the sudden death of a baby, is a professional involved with a bereaved family, is a friend or family member of someone whose baby has died or simply someone who is worried about SIDS.  The 1-800 number is answered 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

· Sponsor research- areas of interest for 2008-

o      Epidemiological  Study- Putting a Face to a Canadian SIDS Baby- by researching and studying the commonalities of each death in Canada, we will be able to highlight similarities and patterns of infant death in Canada
