Sandra has been the President of the Durham Region Council for three years and has been a very active volunteer with the Foundation for 12 years.

The Durham Council has held various successful fundraisers and is a presenter at the Durham Health Fair each year.

Sandra works very well in group settings and committees. She is active on the school Parent Council and has helped with the "Safe Arrival" and "Kiss and Ride" programs at her children's school. She also volunteers at the CFSID's National Office.

Sandra is employed full-time and also helps out with her husband's business. She will be graduating from college in May 2007 with a Certificate in 911 Emergency Response.

Sandra and her husband Paul are parents to three boys; Tyler, Colin and Daniel. Twelve years ago, Daniel died of SIDS.
